There are usually a fair number of people at Games and Gizmos that play EDH before and after the Sunday draft.

Be forewarned that the environment there is quite competitive. I used to play there, but the games were far too filled with Aszuza, Niv-Mizzed combo and the like for me

I play there pretty much every Sunday, and the crowd is alot different than the Friday night groups. Most of our decks are fairly janky and we have a fairly extensive gentleman's list of what is and is not kosher. It's about having fun, and we really look down on infinite combos, unnecessary land-d, and using combinations to lock players out of games, like Yosei lock, Azusa/Crucible/Strip Mine to name a couple.

Most of us make new decks frequently, but taking yesterday for example ~ I played my new Jenara deck which is mostly weenies, and creature bouncing to get value from etb triggers, and my Olivia deck, which is an experiment playing with Karn, Silver Golem, Kiki-Jiki, Goblin Welder, and Priest of Yawgmoth. Because many shenanigans must be had with Myr Battlesphere, Spine of Ish Sah, Wurmcoil Engine etc etc.

Other decks I saw, Hazezon Tamar, Uril, non-combo Niv-Mizzet, Urabrask, Zedruu, Karador, Gwafa, and a really janki Jhoira of the Ghitu deck which wasn't running Eldrazi or board wipes.

Also, it's a ways from Redmond but there is a pretty good group of EDH players that play at Dtwenty Games in Normandy Park on Tuesdays, from like 4pm-10pm.

good to know. Sundays aren't a good day for me, but the Friday night crowd was far too competitive.

Yeah, i played on friday twice a couple years ago, i got tired of karn dot deck and all my lands turning into 0/0's.

I think i have played with you a couple times Shoe, if i am guessing correct, i had a foil Surgespanner you were interested in. Where do you guys normally play?

Also, while its a little bit north of you, Comic Stop in Lynnwood has a pretty good group. General douchy-ness is frowned on, and there are a few local bannings (warp world and Sundering Titan). Plays Monday nights from about 6 on.

I'm in Seattle, don't mind traveling a bit for a good EDH group but I am limited to public transit.

anyway, looking for some good groups in the area. I don't play infinite combos or mass LD or most of the annoying stuff, although I usually try to build decks to play against them reasonably well, so I don't mind other people using some...as long as it's not everyone at the table and every game ends on turn 4, because that's just boring.

currently running glissa, zirilan, child of alara and merieke ri berit (actual cards) and a ton of all-proxy decks I occasionally pull out of my regular generals get boring.

Our group should be reforming soon. I live in duvall now, but Redmond and issiquah is where the rest of the players live. If your still looking for a group PM me!

I'm not into fouls, but if you are from around Redmond, we've prolly met. I have played in a lot of groups. I'm an EDH slut, BONG!

Two spots to try:

Card Kingdom (Ballard, on Leary Way) Open 10am - 12midnight.
On site cafe. Individual card-sales from catalog http://cardkingdom.com until 8:30 pm. Packs/boxes till close. Regulars meet for EDH Tues, Thurs, and Sunday mostly. In between you'll be able to find an EDH game there if you ask.

Then there's another site, Gamma Ray Games on Capitol Hill. Different crowd, with some cross-over from the CK folks. A bit more competitive, but still fun.

You'll find combo's less often at CK games and more social interaction.

I found that the shops on the Eastside were less fun to play in.

Card Advantage in Des Moines is the new hotness. We're losing Platinum in Burien at the end of May and all the cool kids are heading to Card Advantage.
